About Me

My photo
New York native Berto, obtained a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design in 2007. Specializing in pop culture themes, Berto has participated in exhibitions such as the “Marilyn in Art Exhibition” at the Gershwin Hotel in 2006; earning him a spot in an international publication “A Tribute to Celebrities” by Index Book. Berto’s talents are also displayed in his passion for 3D delving into customizing toys. Exhibiting his first toy with Toy Tokyo at The Showroom in NYC for the “Art+Action=OBAMA08” in 2008, receiving praise and a demand for his customs. Berto currently resides in NYC where he is actively exhibiting with The Antagonist Movement and creating customs using pop culture as his muse.

From the vault...

This is the VERY FIRST Illustrator Portrait I've EVER made...
I remember it being an assignment for a class teaching me the tools of Adobe illustrator. I'm so glad to have gone cuz I was close to switching classes just so I can be in the same class with Danny LMAO. But I didn't. I stood with it and it totally paid off now 5 years later.

This was a mini assignment... I can't remember for who or what but this ended up being a wallpaper and background layer for Halloween of 2006 LOL.

The very multi-talented individual, Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria.
Met him twice for the last 2 yrs of New York Comic Con, LOL.

My last piece I ever presented for the Antagonist Art Movement back in 2007.
I called this one: Paris "Maneater" Hilton, nuff said!

Here's the first piece I've presented for Antagonist Art Movement back in February of 2007.
"Madonna: Plastic and Heels".
I took inspiration from her S&M video "HUMAN NATURE"
